“RECOLLECTION showcases the works of budding contemporary artists based in Bath and Bristol. The exhibition marks the end of two years of collaboratively inspired studio work, collectively informing the growth of each artistic practice through workshops and group crits. The multi-medium disciplines comprise of sculpture, photography, print, and paint. Whilst the array of work is diverse and eclectic, it is unified by narratives of lived experience, memory, and traces of humanity. Material play takes precedence across the artists’ practices with a playful yet refined sculptural language embodied through symbolism and construction. A culmination of modern and ancient artistic influences creates a dialogue of past and present, studying arts transcendental place and purpose within society.”
