Engraved lines divide the surface into interpretable anatomies, inviting viewers to attribute the shapes experientially. The interaction between the two figures, therefore, becomes entirely subjective, eliciting unique responses through individual perceptual interpretations.

The work exists at a scale appropriate for the two figures, yet retains a somewhat unsettling presence. Positioned between the observable and the monumental, it becomes irregularly real - physically comprehensible and relatable, but holding a sense of both confrontation and distance simultaneously.
Remaining intentionally unpolished and neutral, the work emphasises a grounded, ‘human’ presence.
